  • 450 grams lean steak (sliced thinly, against the grain, I used sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (cornflour)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 brown onions (medium sized, peeled and chopped into large chunks)
  • 2 green bell peppers (deseeded and chopped into large chunks)
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and minced)
  • 1 ginger (thumb-sized piece, peeled and minced)
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine (or Dry Sherry)
  • 2 tablespoons bell peppers (LKK Premium)
  • 200 grams vermicelli rice noodles
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chilli oil (LKK chiu chow)
  • 3 scallions (spring onions, sliced thinly)
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 1 fresh red chilli (sliced finely)
