Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic and ginger; cook, stirring often, until softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Add soup, chicken, curry powder and garam masala; bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes. Stir in cream.
